WBPDCL Recruitment 2013 – 291 Various Vacancies: West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL) has issued notification for the recruitment of the 291 Trainee – Operator/ Technician, Assistant Sub Inspector (Security) and other vacancies. Eligible candidates can apply online from 07-08-2013 to 06-09-2013. Other details like age limit, educational qualification, selection process and how to apply are given below….

2. Assistant Sub Inspector(Security): 36 Posts
3. Nurse cum Midwife: 09 Posts
4. Security Officer : 05 posts
5. Stenographer: 15 Posts
6. Medical Officer: 02 Posts
7. Assistant Teacher: 19 Posts
8. Assistant Manager – IT: 22 Posts
9. Assistant Manager – Legal: 01 Post
10. Radiographer: 03 Posts
11. Pharmacist: 01 Post
12. Laboratory Technician: 02 Posts
13. Librarian: 01 Post

Age Limit: Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 26 years for Post No.1 &8, 35 years for Post No.2, 4 & 6, 33 years for Post No.9 and 30 years for remaining all positions as on 01-04-2013. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Madhyamik or equivalent examination and Trade Certificate (ITI) under NCVT from any recognized Industrial Training Institute in the trade of Fitter / Electrician respectively for Post No.1, Higher Secondary or equivalent examination for Post No.2, Higher Secondary/ equivalent and having Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery from an institute recognized by the Indian / West Bengal Nursing Council and having registration with the West Bengal Nursing Council for Post No.3. Refer the notification for post wise educational qualification details.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in written test and interview. Group discussion and trade test will be conducted for some posts.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs.300/- in the form of Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque drawn in favour of ‘The West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited’ payable at Kolkata. SC / ST/ EC/ Contractors’ workers / Departmental candidates are exempted form deposition of Application Fees.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply online through the website www.wbpdcl.co.in.from 07-08-2013 at 10:00 hrs to 06-09-2013 up to 17:00 hrs . After applying online, take a print out of the system generated registration ID and send a copy of the same along with Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque (as applicable), mentioning the Registration No., Name of the candidate & position applied for at the back of the DD / Bankers cheque, along with copy of Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC) / PWD / Meritorious Sports Person certificate (if applicable) in a sealed envelope subscribing the name of the post applied for addressed to The Executive Director (HR) – WBPDCL, Bidyut Unnayan Bhaban, Plot No.3/C, LA – Block, Sector – III, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700 098, only by ordinary post or hand delivery at the box kept at the Corporate Office, WBPDCL within 17.30 hrs of 13-09-2013.

1. Before applying online candidates must have scan their passport size photograph and signature.
2. Candidates must have a valid email ID, Demand draft /Banker’s Cheque number.
4. Log on to website www.wbpdcl.co.in.
5. Click on HR–>Careers—>’Click here to Apply Online’.
6. Fill the online application with all the details and upload the scanned photograph and signature.
7. After filling with all the details Submit the online application, Registration ID will generate, keep it for future references.
8. Take the print out of the online application and send it as mentioned above.

Important Dates: Commencement of online registration of applications: 07-08- 2013. Last date for receipt of online applications: 06-09-2013, till 5 pm. Last date for accepting registration slips with required documents by post: 13-09-2013, till 5:30 pm.
