BSF Recruitment 2013 – 1436 Constable (Tradesman) Posts: Border Security Force (BSF) is inviting applications from the Male Indian Citizens for the recruitment of Constable (Tradesmen) vacancies. Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 18 to 23 years as on 01-08-2013. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized university/board with two years work experience in respective trades.

HOW TO APPLY AND BY WHICH DATE
a) Application in the prescribed format at Annexure-I either downloaded from BSF website or type written on one side only in foolscap plain paper with passport sizephotographs affixing on application duly attested by a Gazette officer with seal besent to concerned Headquarter, under which their state falls, on or before 30 days after publication of this advertisement in Employment News through post alongwith following documents.
b) Postal order or Demand Draft for Rs. 50/- in favour of Concerned IG/DIG/Commandant payable at bank of concerned Headquarter, under whichtheir state falls, as mentioned against each with Code No. However, no postal order or Demand Draft is required to be sent by SC/ST candidates and Exservicemen.
c) Candidates are requested to fill up application form in Hindi or English language.
d) Attested copies of certificate/testimonial as proof of Educational qualification andage/date of birth and a trade proficiency certificate.
e) Attested copy of caste/category certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates given by an officer not below Tehsildar or SDO/SDM etc.
f) Attested copy of Domicile certificate issued by an officer not below Tehsildar or SDO/SDM etc.
g) One self addressed envelope of size 23x10 Cms affixed with postage for Rs.5/- bearing name and full postal address of the candidate with PIN Code.
h) A form for issue of Admit card will also be filled in and forwarded along with Passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer with seal as per Annexure-II alongwith the application form.
i) Envelope containing Applications must be subscribed in bold letters as

“APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE(TRADESMAN) IN BSF”
. SELECTION PROCESS FOR CONSTABLE (TRADESMAN)"

Admit card with roll number and general instructions for appearing for the test/interview will
be issued 15 days prior to the date of test to the eligible candidates. They will be called to appear for
the same at a place preferably within their Home State for which no TA/DA is admissible.
Incomplete application will be summarily rejected and no correspondence on this will be
entertained.

NO APPLICATION AFTER THE LAST DATE AS MENTIONED ABOVE WILL BE
ACCEPTED BY THE RECRUITING AGENCIES.

Method of Selection

(a) At the very beginning of the recruitment process, candidates whose applications arefound to be in order will be asked to go through the height bar and thereby, candidates with lesser height will get eliminated.
(b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Those who qualify the height test will be subjected to five kilometers race to be completed within 24 minutes.
(c) Original testimonials of the candidates will be checked thereafter and only eligible candidates will go to the next step.
(d) Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who are found eligible on screening of testimonials will be screened first for height, chest and weight measurements.

Note:- Physical Efficiency Tests and Physical Standard Test will only be qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks.
(e) Trade Test :- Only qualifying in nature.
The candidates who qualify the PET will be put through the respective Trade Test.
Each candidate will be allowed to appear for one trade only as entered in the application form.

(f) Written Test:- 100 marks

(i) The candidates who qualify in the PETs and Trade Test will be required toappear in a written test.
(ii) The Written Test for 100 marks containing 100 questions (qualifying marks 35% for GC & Ex-Servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC) will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a black pen.
(iii) The question paper will be set to assess the 
 (i) general awareness/general knowledge,  
(ii) knowledge of elementary mathematic,
 (iii) analytical aptitude
and ability to observe the distinguish patters and to test the (iv) basicknowledge of the candidates in English/Hindi. The questions will be set both in Hindi and English. The papers can be answered either in Hindi or in English.
(iv) The duration of the Written Test will be 2 hours.
